DHANUSH

In the history of indian cinemas, we have heard of instances where actors keep their directors and producers waiting, be it for a dates are on the location. but dhanush was appearently faced with a different situation. while shooting in namebia for bharathbala's mariyaan. The actor was all prepped up and waiting to shoot, but bharath bala was pre occupied with canning sequences with other artists. And he seems to have kept dhanush waiting.
A source closed to the unit claims, the unit was shooting outdoors in namebia and according to the original schedule, dhanush had to shoot for his portions that day. he got ready and came to the location on time. but the director was busy and did not inform dhanush about the change in plan. After a long wait, the actor stomped off the sets.
We hear that dhanush then told the unit hands that he needed to be informed by bharath baa himself about the schedule for the day. The source adds, he then told the director that he was an equally big star in tamilnadu, meanwhile, the next schedule of the film will be held in a village in kanyakumari, for which dhanush has to grow a thick handlebar moustache.

One common aliment that every actor in K-Town and B-Town suffers from is Friday jitters. A trade source says, "Actors often get affected with media reports over their brawls, alleged link-ups and socially-unacceptable behaviour, but nothing affects them more than the fate of their films at the box office, or the media obsession surrounding it."The source adds that all eyes are now on the box office, "and while an actor can manipulate the media with regard to most things that portray him in a negative light or at least attempt a fair amount of damage control, he cannot huged box office figures because this is the judgement of the junta".
Till march 2012, akshay kumar was not even in the reckoning for the top honours. however for us it is a superstar rajinikanth's robot or endhiran that continous to be the bench mark in tamil cinemas in terms of box office colllections.

mappillai was supposed to be the summer entertainer to beat all entertainers.
Director suraj's screenplay however failed to delivers the goods, despite pulling off
a casting coup with Monisha koirala and Hansika motwani sharing screen space.
the screenplay was largely logic-less and the gags fel flat..

The shooting of this film is over and post production work is in progress. the tamil satellite rights have have been sold to jaya tv and the telugu rights to messrs lakshmi ganapathy films , Hyderabed.

There's a dialogue in saguni that sums up the entire plot ,the characters and the motivation rather nicely . when the times good every thing falls into place and success come comes running , when the times not ,every thing turns to disaster.
produced by studio green /dream warrior movies and directed by shankar dayal n,saguni pretty much satisfies all elements of a mass masala entertainer . which is to say that it has a lot of spice , humour,a preety girl and super heroes ,so you cannot really care about all the minuses until after you have left the theatre.
That's not to say that saguni does not have its good points it does . it has as its protagonist,kamalakkannan aka kannan (karthi,back after a break) , who arrives chennai on a mission to save his ancestral home , and runs into pit falls at every turn.
For the entire first half of the film,his journey combines with that of rajini appadurai (santhanam)
an auto - driver who drives him al over the city , buys him food and drink and eventually becomes embroiled in his affairs.

Kamal haasan will leave for os angeles today for a very special screening of his hindi film vishwaroop for barrie m osborne the producer of hollywood films like THE LORD OF THE RINGS ,MATRIX,FACE/OFF and DICK TRACY .
says a source, "the hindi and tamil bi-lingual, vishwaroop and vishwaroopam respectively , was shot extensively in los angeles . much of the special during post production were also done in reputed hollywood studios in LA.
As news spread around and in hollywood studios that kamal haasan was working on two languages adventure-thriller, several big names from american cinemas would drop in for a DEKKO.
What really surprise kamal hassan was not so much that a big-name hollywood producer like osborne wanted to see his film , but the fact that osborne seemed to know about that two different tamil and hindi versions of his film and asked particularly for one version to be seemed.
